San Diego was a nice little getaway. Fall and winter are probably the most chaotic times in the Shehadeh family. • Whenever we go on vacation we always talk about our 3 highs and 1 low. This vacation Abe and I had the same highs. 1. The beach days were fantastic! 2. Bike riding around Coronado (which we didn’t take any pics or videos of... living in the moment I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️) 3. Watching M enjoy the vacation. We went to AZ in April, and it was amazing, but this time M was so excited about everything, talking up a storm, and just being the happiest toddler on the plant. ❤️ The one bad... getting rear ended within the first 24 hours. We really thought the vacation was going to be horrible after that. • Now when we get home we are going to start the potty training journey. A few weeks ago I was watching @ashleyrosereeves on stories and something she said really struck me deep down. Basically she said “if you don’t get in the swimsuit and play with your kids this summer they are still going to make memories... but you won’t be in any of them.” • I don’t know about you, but even thinking about that makes me want to cry! I might not be back to my pre-baby weight, or the same size I was in high school, and I definitely don’t look like any of the models that grace the covers of magazines... But you know, that’s ok. • So I am going to be the mom who embraces the swimsuit to make memories! I have a husband who loves me no matter my size, and a little boy who couldn’t careless what size I am. Today was a good day! • The thing I love about vacation is taking M to new places to experience new things. Now that he is 2 he is so excited about everything! The airplane, the hotel, but the beach was so amazing!
